4 x 2 Standard Codes  

4 x 2  is made up of a 4 digit alarm account code followed by a two digit alarm code. aaaaTP where aaaa is in the hexadecimal  range of  0000 to FFFF and T is in the hexadecimal range of  0 to F, and P is in the hexadecimal range of  0 to F.

While dealers may use any combination of Type "T" and Point "P"  to indicate an alarm condition certain conventions are best observed. When the "T" is represented by a hexadecimal digit (B -F) most receivers and automation systems follow the following convention
